Here goes something

Why as the church/followers of Christ do we always represent ourselves as being the victims?

Things aren’t the way we want them to be in our life.

We’re struggling with things we don’t to struggle with.

We feel like people don’t see correctly who we are (so then we make life about showing ourselves to be something special).

We’re unsatisfied and it’s mostly someone/something else’s fault.

We live out this life that paints a picture (emotionally and verbally) like we are victims of this horrible life and there’s nothing we can do about it.  Baaa-humbug…

I don’t get it.  I know this has to do in large part to my personality, but isn’t the gospel founded in the belief that life is not ok, but we have a Savior?  We’ve found the maker of all things right.  We’ve found our purpose, meaning, and acceptance.

Should not our lives now be ones leading others to this Savior?

Instead we get caught in the “victim” state…

You’re life will always drift there (it’s natural)…find people who can speak truth into your life and lead you out of being the victim into being the leader.

Or maybe the best thing for you to do is pull up your pants and start leading others to this Savior and maybe you’ll find Him (in a new way) along the way.
